Microsoft Prepares Super- Cheap Windows Laptops to Battle  Microsoft to give Chromebook some stiff competition. At the company's annual Worldwide Partner Conference, Microsoft COO Kevin Turner revealed that HP is planning to release   a $199. Windows laptop called the 'Stream' this holiday season and at the same time they are planning to release 7and 8 inch versions of tablets for just $99. Turner said, "We are going to participate at the low-end" and he was quick to add that, "We've got a great value proposition against Chromebooks, we are not ceding the market to anyone, " reports Times of India. At these super affordable price points, the Stream  would come at a bargain, beating out many of Google's affordable cloud powered laptops like Dell Chromebook 11 and Toshiba Chromebook.
